Nordnet Launches Major Private Banking Initiative – Aims to Become a Leader in Sweden

Nordnet is today strengthening its Private Banking offering with a comprehensive update including new features, a modernized design, and adjusted pricing.

“Today’s launch marks the beginning of a powerful commitment to savers with substantial capital to invest. Our goal is to become market leaders in Private Banking in Sweden,” says Gabrielle Hagman, Country Manager Sweden at Nordnet.

To become a Nordnet Private Banking customer, a total savings capital of at least SEK 2.5 million is required. The concept now introduces four distinct customer categories, compared to just one previously. These four categories offer different benefit packages, and the size of your total savings capital determines which category you belong to. The four categories are Gold (from SEK 2.5 million in savings capital), Platinum (from SEK 10 million), Black (from SEK 30 million), and Signature (from SEK 100 million).

In addition to the new customer categories, Nordnet’s Private Banking service has received a new design, updated prices for stock trading, and a progress bar showing the customer’s position between the different categories. A newly introduced, attractive mortgage interest rate of 2.30 percent is also available for customers with over SEK 50 million in savings capital and a loan-to-value ratio of maximum 50 percent.

“The foundation of Nordnet’s offering is a user-friendly and affordable platform with a wide range of options for ordinary savers. However, during spring 2025, we have focused extra on our more engaged customers by introducing new products such as foreign currency accounts for ISK, pre-market trading in US stocks, and five new stock markets for digital trading. We are now consolidating all existing and new services under a new concept. This is just the beginning – our Private Banking service will continuously be updated with more features and services. Next on the agenda are discounted interest rates for margin lending and foreign currency accounts for endowment insurance,” Gabrielle Hagman continues.

Nordnet’s Private Banking offering currently includes, among other things, access to a support team with a 30-second response guarantee, favorable brokerage fees and deposit rates, the market’s lowest list rate for mortgages, investment advice via partners, participation in IPOs and accelerated book-building procedures, advice on tax and legal matters at a discounted price, invitations to exclusive events, and personal broker contact for, e.g., placing larger orders.

“Private Banking at Nordnet is characterized by a digital yet personal offering without fixed fees, featuring a wide range of investment options and ancillary services. We call it the next generation of Private Banking, and I believe it’s a concept that can appeal to many high-net-worth savers,” says Gabrielle Hagman.
