Nordnet is now introducing a stock lending program, where all Swedish customers with capital endowments (“kapitalförsäkring”) are given the opportunity to get additional return on the stocks they have invested in. The additional return is created through lending the stocks to external parties, e.g. global investment banks.
After deducting the agent’s fee, the revenue from lending out the stock is split 50/50 between Nordnet and the customers. In this way, Nordnet’s customers are given an additional opportunity to return on their shareholding, besides higher valuation and dividend payouts.
